Aqua-Gaps/MONET in Lake Léman

The project in a nutshell

Surface waters are increasingly threatened by the release of synthetic chemicals into the environment. By taking advantage of the benefits of passive sampling, the ‘Aquatic Global Passive Sampling (Aqua-Gaps/MONET)’ network aims to study the geographical distribution and temporal trends of organic pollutants in the waters of the world. Data obtained in Lake Leman (LéXPLORE) will be combined with results from passive sampling-based monitoring campaigns in tributaries to better understand the extend and magnitude of the pollution in the lake’s basin.
