LéWALK: autonomous turbulence profiling

The project in a nutshell

In the context of the project Primary Production project, high-temporal resolution oxygen measurements are being collected with the aim of quantifying primary production. To do so, it is imperative to quantify the physical oxygen fluxes driven to turbulent mixing that also affect the oxygen signal at high resolution. To fill this gap, the “LéWalk” project proposes the innovative approach of installing a turbulence measuring device (microPOD) onto a WireWalker, an automated profiler propelled by surface waves.
