LéXFISH

The project in a nutshell

LéXFISH plan to install two split-beam echosounders, 70 and 200 kHz, to acquire continuous data on fish population and scattering layers below the platform. In this way presence of fish below the platform will be monitored. These data are of main importance when abiotic and biotic parameters are measured (for example level of NH3, O2 and density of zooplankton can be highly impacted by presence of fish schools).Furthermore we will study vertical fish distribution and vertical migration, and evolution of fish aggregation, linked to abiotic parameters.
