LéXPOSTRAC: Tracking ecotoxicological effects of lake suspended particulate matter on the ostracod Heterocypris incongruens

The project in a nutshell:

In this project, we will expose the ostracod Heterocypris incongruens in the laboratory to suspended particulate matter (SPM) collected (bi-)monthly thanks to sediment traps deployed with the ones from the SEDTRAPproject. In addition to monthly evaluate SPM quality, we aim to repeat the experiment run in 2021 (LéXPOCHIRO). We expect with this new project (i) to confirm the seasonal differences observed in 2021, (ii) to discriminate at a lower scale which period is affected by the stronger ecotoxicological effect (iii) to reduce confounding factors (e.g. anoxic conditions in long integration periods).
