The project in a nutshell
In this project, we will expose Chironomus riparius in the laboratory to suspended matter that will be seasonally collected (i.e. during the winter/spring and then during summer/fall) from the LéXPLORE platform thanks to the sampling device ExpoSET. Chironomids larvae will be sampled during exposure for gene expression analyses (previously selected biomarkers) and larval growth and emergence will be investigated. Bioaccumulation of chemicals of concern will be also assessed.
